ITDE Songs

Halaka - ITDE Songs (2006-2007)

The story behind ITDE Songs:

First off, this is terrible. Really terrible. Sometime in 2006 or 2007 a few members of Halaka set out to record some material specifically for Dave X 's It's too Damn Early radio show. These sessions, recorded in a bedroom, living room, or basement, languished in hard disk hell until one of the members decided to "master" them and send them off to Dave X. The sessions are basically a lot of talking around some improvised acoustic "songs" onto which "effects" were added in "post production." The files were then sent to Dave X for download. Mr. X then burnt the files to a cd, but unfortunately there was the dreaded 2 second pause between tracks and the session ran over to a second disc. Never one to be backed in a corner Mr. X played both discs on air concurrently. He may have recorded this, I'm not too sure, but if he did it's probably much more interesting than the source material itself.

This is the first time that the ITDE Songs have been released to the public in all their naked glory. If pile records ever decides to release a cd-r of this performance it would definitely go in the disgard pile.
